The process of production of a product depends on the size, technical characteristics (material, surface, colour, ...) and number of pieces. In producing the prototype / model / first parts we must always start from the intention, and in what way the prototype will serve its purpose (design wise, dimensionally suitable, for testing a product, for testing the market ...)? From this information, we are able to choose the most suitable technology or combination of those. No technology is the best. All are good, each serving its own purpose.
A prototype is an ideal visual and function aid, which in the process of development will save you time, assist communication between employees, customers and contractors as well as cut costs and speed up the development process to implementation on the market
A condition is that the customer knows exactly with which layer technology he wishes to have his finished prototype /print or model made with. Without the sent data, it is no possible to determine a price, as it depends on the time for printing, size of the part, the height, the wall thickness and of course the technology. In our experience, the cheapest prints are from 3D powder and foundry sand.
For the making of an offer, we need the following information: (.stl, and/or .stp data for plastic pieces and foundry forms; .dwg and/or .dxf for metal pieces for cutting, milling and bending); the number of desired pieces, the desired surface finish and colour as well as a short description regarding why you require the prototype/model/product. In this way we are able to choose the most suitable technology or combination of technologies.
